We offer personalized 1:1 tutoring for all K-12 subjects through college, including AP-level courses, as well as standardized test preparation for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT. Additionally, we provide study skills coaching and specialized support for students with learning differences.

For convenience, we recommend online tutoring, which allows flexible, one-on-one sessions from anywhere. We also offer in-person tutoring services in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, where tutors can come to your home or, with written permission from the school, work on your child's school campus. Please note, we do not have physical tutoring centers.

We use Zoom for our online tutoring sessions, along with a variety of additional online tools to enhance the learning experience. Our instructors are specially trained to engage students in a way that makes online sessions just as effective and productive as in-person ones.

Possibly! We’re more likely to accommodate same-day requests for online tutoring. Please note, for same-day tutoring, a $75 “rush” fee applies.

Here’s our process:

1. We begin with an initial phone consultation to understand your child's learning needs and provide personalized educational recommendations.

2. If Pacific Preparatory is a good fit, we send you a registration link to complete, including agreeing to our terms and a $50 fee.

3. Once we receive the registration form, we find the right instructor which typically takes 0-3 days. We’ll then share the instructor’s information and introduce you via email.

4. The instructor will contact you within 24 hours to confirm details for the first session.

5. After the session, we’ll check in to ensure everything went smoothly. If you’re satisfied, we recommend scheduling weekly sessions directly with the instructor. If not, we’ll find another match. Plus, our guarantee ensures a full refund for the first three sessions if you're not completely satisfied.

During our intake process, we’ll match you with a tutor who has the availability you requested. Once we share the tutor’s contact details and send the introductory email, you can schedule directly with them. We recommend consistent weekly sessions, but if you need to adjust the frequency or add extra sessions, simply communicate directly with your tutor to make those arrangements.

You pay us, and we handle the payment to the tutor. Payments are made via Automated Clearing House (ACH) or credit card, and we invoice you at the end of each month for all sessions.

Tutors can coordinate with teachers upon request. Please note that additional charges may apply if extensive meetings or communication with teachers are required.
